Wow! Thank you to those of you who have helped by donating and/or spreading the word about our food bank donation this Christmas.
This December, we have donated around £700.00 worth of food to the Welcome Centre in Huddersfield, and we simply couldn’t have done it without your support. We are so incredibly grateful to you for helping us with this, and giving to those in need this Christmas.
With your help, we collected over £400 cash donations, which we used to buy food with, to take to the food bank, and another £300 worth of food was donated too.
On Tuesday 10th December, Jo, Bev, Kim and her husband Richard dropped off our donations at the food bank – a full van load of fifty or so carrier bags filled to the brim with food, toiletries, pots and pans. Two smiling volunteers working at the Centre helped to offload the bags, providing much needed muscle power and a warm and friendly welcome! This donation will go towards supporting The Welcome Centre as they provide vital crisis packs to families and individuals, and we are proud to support them.
Kim and the team have been humbled by the donations that have been so generously given, and it has made us all realise how incredibly lucky we all are. We will do this again next year, so do get in touch if you would like to help out, or maybe even look out for your nearest food bank, and drop them a line to see how you can help.
