Temporary Receptionist (Patient Care Advisor)

Role:
Our prestigious client urgently requires a Receptionist (Patient Care Advisor) to work in our clients Urgent Treatment Centre, based in Otley, LS21. This role is to start as soon as possible, and the duration of this temporary role is initially for 3 months.

Working within a rota to cover the centre's opening hours from 6pm to 8am Monday to Friday and 6pm Friday to 8am Monday, and Bank Holidays. Our client is looking to recruit to cover the following shifts, preferably someone who could cover all of the shifts.

Every other Sunday (weeks 2 and 4)               13:00 – 18:14

On a day-to-day basis you will be required to work flexibly with the team to provide and maintain a high-quality reception service to patients plus effective liaison with external bodies and individuals as required. You will also ensure that all necessary operational administrative duties are undertaken in an accurate and timely manner – to include the collection, recording and reconciliation of patient appointments.

About You:

You will ideally have worked within a health service environment and have experience dealing with members of the public and patients, be familiar with health administrative processes including appointment making and customer service.

Candidates Must Have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with all MS Office applications
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workloads, which are often unpredictable
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work flexibly within agreed hours, at the discretion of the management team, and may occasionally be required to work outside contracted hours to meet business needs
  • Working knowledge of SystmOne or any other health service software (desired)
  • Valid and up to date enhanced DBS certificate (desired)
