Our client is looking for a highly experienced Payroll and Resourcing Administrator to join their friendly teamTo role is to provide a link between Finance and Resourcing to ensure all financial and payroll data within their internal rota system is accurate and correctly prepared for payroll, in line with company policies and procedures regarding salary, pay enhancements, bank holiday pay, short notice pay and so on. Also, to ensure appropriately qualified, trained, and experienced staff resources are rostered in time for the effective and efficient provision of services in line with the operational staffing plans.

On a day to day basis, you will ensure the accurate recording and costing of shifts performed by employed, sessional and agency workers to facilitate payroll processing and payments to sessional workers and agency suppliers. You will also ensure accuracy of detail of payroll information to give staff a detailed breakdown of pay that matches their summarised payslips.

The role also requires you to responsible for dealing with incoming Resourcing and Finance queries, also making outbound calls to employees, sessional staff, and recruitment agencies, in addition to maintaining the integrity of the database by ensuring information is accurately entered onto the system to provide real-time information.

This role will require you to negotiate with and influence others whilst providing realistic solutions and will also need the successful candidate to maintain a keen eye for detail and have very good time management.

You will deal with queries in a professional, timely and efficient manner, always ensuring excellent customer service and swift problem resolution and have an ability to grasp new systems and procedures.

The role will involve the setting up and maintenance of accurate pay rates in the rota system for employed, sessional and agency workers - ensuring workers are accurately assigned to the correct pay rate.  Working closely with the Payroll Administrator through checking/approval of holiday and sick pay adjustments in preparation for payroll, you will also need to identify employees undertaking shifts who may benefit from training in the pay verification process and provide training / support to ensure shifts are verified accurately and on a timely basis.

The resourcing side of the role requires you to organise appropriate rota cover for all in-hours services as required and to ensure that all availabilities are added to the database and late shift cancellations are managed.

Liaising with the operations staff to give daily information of current situations regarding sessions covered, dealing with any problems relating to the in-hours rota and liaising with administration staff to support rota fill as and when required for in-hours sessions

About You:
The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative and make recommendations to management to achieve the goals set out in the annual operating plan and the successful performance of this role will require some flexible working hours and frequent contact with a wide range of external stakeholders.

Candidates Must Have:You will have previous experience working in a busy Finance department, experience of dealing with agencies, employees, and self-employed personnel and be used to working for extended periods of time using computer packages.

Due to the nature of the role you should ideally have experience of working with rotas and of working in a confidential environment.
