Payroll Clerk

Location: Mirfield, WF14
up to £25,000.00 pa


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll clerk to join a leading business in the local area.

The hours of work are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break each day.

The role will require an individual with excellent payroll experience, together with organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Your duties will include:

  • Accurate data entry entering all payroll details
  • Running weekly payroll
  • Looking at shifts and rotas
  • Calculating weekly paid staff and overtimes, sickness etc.

  • Excellent attention to detail as this role requires a high degree of accuracy
  • Quick to pick up new systems and procedures

  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines


  • Previous experience of using CSM Ascent Payroll would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be given
  • Previous experience using Astro clocking system would be an advantage
