Maintenance Engineer

Location: Castleford, WF10

Pay: £30-40,000.00 pa DOE

Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our highly respectable and well-known company based at one of their sites in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

Duties include:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the venue
  • Assist in the management of the Atlas Citation platform including accident reporting and Health & Safety periodic checks
  • Ensure all maintenance issues are dealt with in a corrective and timely manner
  • Adhere to the terms and conditions stipulated by our critical plant and on-site specialist suppliers and build positive working relationships with them
  • Take accountability for utility management regarding water, gas, and electricity
  • Develop a PPM strategy to maintain service levels expected with all assets and avoid unexpected expenditure
  • Where possible, avoid outsourcing maintenance tasks that can be carried out in house
  • To ensure the critical plant operates to optimum levels at all times to avoid disrupting or detracting from the guest experience

About You:

  • You will be organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • A clear communicator and professional operator with extremely high standards of expectation
  • Possess a very committed and diligent working style
  • Exhibits strong judgement, drive and influencing skills

Candidates Must Have:

  • Commercial and industrial refrigeration systems qualification (e.g., HVAC, refrigeration)
  • F-Gas (City & Guilds) or equivalent electrical certification
  • Full driving licence
  • Extensive experience with refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems
  • Experience in fault finding and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Experience of pumps, motors, valves, hydraulics, and air handling units, ideally Apprentice trained
  • Proven commercial experience and a track record of high performance in a single or multisite business
  • Experience of budgetary control and utility saving etiquette
