HR Assistant – 3-4 months FTC with potential permanent

Role:
Our client is a privately owned business that has been established for almost 90 years and has an annual turnover of c£80million per year! As a market leader within their field, they pride themselves on having an enviable team providing a first-class service to their customers both in the UK and overseas.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant / Recruitment Specialist. This will be initially a 3–4-month fixed term contract; however, due to the business workloads this role will be under consideration for a permanent position. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the recruitment industry and be able to hit the ground running in this very busy role.

Role Overview:

  • Assisting the HR Manager within a very busy HR dept.
  • Consulting with Senior Management regarding recruitment requirements
  • Compiling adverts for mainstream and social media
  • Reviewing candidate applications and contacting suitable candidates
  • First line Interviewing of candidates
  • Organising new starter paperwork and contracts
  • Obtaining all relevant rights to work and ID for all new employees
  • Dealing with employee issues and leavers, which at times can be a high turnover
  • Dealing with the company’s social media presence

 

About You:

Candidates Must Have:

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced recruitment environment (in-house HR or agency) is essential
  • Knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams internally and externally

The hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 3.45pm finish (45 mins for lunch daily) and there is free parking on site.
