Graphic Designer

Location: Huddersfield, HD1

Pay: £30-33,000.00 pa depending upon experience

Our very well established, highly profitable, market leading local manufacturer, based in Huddersfield are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join their creative marketing team. You will be responsible for producing visually compelling designs that effectively communicate our clients brand message across various mediums.

Your duties as a Graphic Designer are as follows:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Division Manager and other team members to understand project objectives and requirements
  • Design and create engaging graphics for print and digital platforms including but not limited to packaging, advertisements, brochures, websites, social media, and email campaigns
  • Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts that align with company brand identity and guidelines
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, design techniques, and software tools to continuously improve the quality and creativity of designs
  • Work closely with copywriters, marketing specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure visual consistency and effectiveness of marketing materials
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide input and contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and creative meetings
  • Conduct regular reviews and revisions to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications

Skills and experience required for the Graphic Designer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative design solutions
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro) and other graphic design software
  • Solid understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, and design best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively present and explain design concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience of working in a marketing or advertising agency is a benefit
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles is desirable but not essential

The hours of work will be – Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week (flexible hours based on core hours).  The role will be based on site at our client’s premises in HD1, where they have free onsite parking.
