GDPR: What is it, and what does it mean?

The General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR) came in from 25th May this year. It’s an EU law on data protection that essentially seeks to give individuals (you) control over your personal data and who you share it with/who retains your details on what systems etc. You’ve probably been bombarded by emails from various companies with your details asking you for your permission to keep contacting you, so many have seen this as an opportunity to “detox” their influx of incoming unwanted mail, and confirm you want to receive information from others. From a business point of view, the aim of the law was to simplify regulations for international businesses so that all regulations within the EU are the same.

For THE Agency, GDPR means that we permanently delete the information of unsuccessful applications and don’t keep this candidate information on file for future vacancies.

So… if you’re looking to register with us, you need to get in touch to register – applying for one of our vacancies doesn’t mean you have registered!
