More than a quarter of employers (28%) plan to give workers a pay rise this year, according to the March issue of the REC’s JobsOutlook survey.
Today’s report also reveals the proportion of employers planning to expand their work forces over the next 3 months is growing:
- 76% say they will take on more permanent staff
- 48% predict they will increase their use of temps
So it looks like there are some gree-shoots-of recovery looming on the horizon. Fingers crossed that the trend continues throughout the year.
