Temporary Dental Receptionist (Patient Care Advisor)

Our prestigious client urgently requires part-time Patient Care Advisors to work in our clients booking centre in Leeds 7. This role is to start as soon as possible.

The service operates daily between the hours of 0700 and 2300, including Bank Holidays. All staff are expected to work on Bank Holidays should their shift fall on that day. Our client is looking to recruit to cover the following shifts, preferably someone who could cover all or most of the shifts.

PCA: Leeds       

Monday                        08:00 – 14:00                 weekly

Tuesday                        19:00 –  22:15                weekly

Thursday                       08:00 – 14:00                 weekly

Thursday                      19:00 – 22:15                 weekly

Friday                            08:15 – 13:15                 alternate weeks (1+3)

Saturday                       19:00 – 22:15                 weekly

Sunday                         14:00 – 19:00                 weekly

However, the successful candidate may be expected to do extra shifts depending upon work load, which may include weekends, evenings etc, therefore flexibility is key. On a day to day basis you will be required to work flexibly with the dental team to provide and maintain a high-quality reception service to patients plus effective liaison with external bodies/individuals as required. You will also ensure that all necessary operational administrative duties are undertaken in an accurate and timely manner – to include the collection, recording and reconciliation of patient charges.

You will ideally have worked within a dental service environment and have experience dealing with members of the public and patients, be familiar with dental administrative processes including appointment making and cash handling. You will also have excellent communication skills and be familiar with all MS Office applications. If you have a working knowledge of SystemOne or any other dental software, it would be a huge advantage.

Our client also requires a candidate who can plan and prioritise workloads which can quite often be unpredictable, be able to work on their own initiative, be accurate and have an attention to detail. You will also be required to work flexibly within agreed hours at the discretion of the management team and occasionally be required to work outside contracted hours to meet business needs.

Please note that all successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check (Criminal Records Check) and will need to provide references covering a 5-year period.  

Ideally you will have a valid up to date enhanced DBS certificate.
