Our prestigious client is a leading global provider of financial administration solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join their fast paced and very busy Distributions and Mailings Team and be part of their Operational Finance department for Fund Solutions. Reporting to the Operational Finance Assistant manager, you will supervise a small team of 4 people.

Ideally you will have experience of working within the financial sector within an accounts of financial processing environment and will be used to dealing with high volume transactions.

Our client wants all their colleagues to become well-respected industry professionals. As part of this role, they are offering full study support for the Investment Operations Certificate. Our client will provide you with books, mock exams, study leave and a community that can really support you through your studies. The IOC forms part of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and is recognised as a Professional Qualification in over 50 countries.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Team Leader include:

  • Making sure all investor communications are processed correctly and on time
  • Ensuring that the team process all dividend payments and on time
  • Making sure that all queries, both internal and external, are dealt with quickly and efficiently
  • Providing training to the team, carrying out process reviews and making sure all team members keep to SLA’s.
  • Helping to produce monthly Management Information for the Assistant Manager

About you

The ideal candidate for this Team Leader role is someone with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A keen eye for attention to detail with the ability to ensure that the team produce accurate work and to agreed timescales.

Candidates must have:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at C grade or above, or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to also be able to deal with a high-volume workload
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Full IOC qualification (desired)
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the financial services industry (desired)
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of SAP accounting package (desired)

Working in their Leeds office, you would have access to on-site parking, a subsidised canteen serving breakfast and lunch and a subsidised high street coffee shop (on-site). There is a free shuttle service from Leeds Bus Station and Leeds Train Station twice an hour from 6AM to 11PM. Free office fruit baskets are delivered twice per week, and they are within walking distance of the White Rose Shopping Centre, with easy access to the M62, M621 and a five-minute drive to Leeds City Centre.
