This is a great temporary opportunity to join a highly motivated, fast paced office environment working alongside and supporting the Far East Sourcing Controller. The co-ordinator is responsible for raising purchase orders and dealing with day to day queries, as well as providing performance reports to the business.

Candidates require a proven background working in a purchasing administration role – please note that this is essential and candidates without this experience need not apply on this occasion.

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Monitoring the internal order management system dashboard for reprint items ordered, checking and resolving communications daily
  • Raising purchase orders and updating our internal communication systems
  • Updating central costing system and purchase orders with cost
  • Logging and processing samples received from vendors
  • Running and presenting weekly delivery performance reports
  • Making recommendations and publishing to the business
  • Awareness of Auditing administration, raising audit orders and updating customer systems
  • Resolving delivery non-compliance issues from the warehouse, resolving invoice queries and sending and tracking parcels and internal post
  • Purchase order provision to our client’s suppliers
  • Management of inputs and up-loads to internal business systems to ensure seamless delivery and visibility
  • Order tracking to expected business due dates to support customer demand

A key part of this role is producing multiple Excel generated reports, PC literacy is essential in Excel – intermediate level minimum.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, previous clerical experience and strong Excel skills. In addition, you must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, be extremely organised and pay great attention to detail. You must also be able to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment. Previous experience in working with Far East suppliers is preferred. 

As previously mentioned the ideal candidate needs to be a competent user of Microsoft Office packages as well as a confident user of the internet and other digital platforms.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with ½ hour lunch. Ideally our client would like you to start earlier due to the time difference with Asia, our client can be flexible on the start time in 15 mins increments, so start times offered are: 8.00am / 8.15am / 8.30am / 8.45am / 9.00am but no later than 9:00am.
