Part Time Clerical Assistant

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Clerical Assistant with accounts experience to join their business. Our client is looking for someone to join a small office team for general administration duties, with the opportunity to do more on the accounts side of things too.

The vacancy is part-time, working a 30-hour week. Ideally, the hours would be: Monday – Thursday 11:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm, 30 minutes paid lunch each day. This is, however, flexible for the right Candidate.

The role is temporary, but with the potential to be made permanent.

As a Part Time Clerical Assistant, you would be responsible for:

  • Front line answering calls
  • Making calls to customers to discuss orders
  • Chasing overdue accounts
  • Calling suppliers to chase delayed deliveries/to discuss orders
  • Assisting with maintenance of paper and computer-based sales and purchasing system using SAGE Line 50 accounts package
  • General office admin, e.g. maintaining/ordering disposables, filing, shredding etc

About you

This Part time Clerical Assistant role is suitable for a friendly and sociable candidate who is available to start as soon as possible.

Candidates must have:

  • SAGE Line 50 experience
  • Microsoft Office experience, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel (basic)
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a small office environment (desired)
  • Bookkeeping experience (desired)
