Customer Services Officer – German Speaking 

Our client is a world leading organisation with a large site in the Bradford area. They are looking to recruit a Customer Service Officer who is fluent in German and English.

In this key role, you will be responsible for providing first line customer service support to a range of customers, this includes order creation preparation, checking and validation for an allocated portfolio of customers.

The use of SAP will be a regular feature of the role, so knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the following: – 

  • Entering orders on SAP, as well as providing support with maintaining price files within the system
  • Responsible for liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any customer queries and you will take corrective steps when problems arise
  • Inform relevant sales representatives of any issues with customers, deliveries, or credit/accounts receivable
  • Handling general enquiries and consult with other internal departments to provide customers with information when requested

  • There may also be opportunities to travel within the specified region to develop customer relationships. 

In this key role you will need to have: – 

  • Beyond minimum level of GCSE education (or equivalent)
  • Vocational training or equivalent with commercial background
  • Fluency to an expert/negotiation business level in German.
  • A highly motivated self-starting manner and have excellent skills in both Excel and Word ideally with experience in SAP which would be an advantage
  • Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams, as well as on your own initiative
  • The capacity to manage your own customer portfolio together with your own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
