Our prestigious client has an exciting Administrative opportunity to join their busy Fund Solutions Retail Operation teams. Based in their Leeds office, reporting to the Team Leader, you will be part of a busy operation team, carrying out duties relating to Investors.

On a day to day basis you will be a part of a team of 11 people, you will check all entries, amendments and revisions to the client registers for accuracy, making sure they have the relevant documentation attached. You will also review all outbound correspondence, ensuring this meets their high standards from a customer service and quality perspective.

The role

  • To check all entries, amendments, revisions to the client registers for accuracy.
  • To ensure all client register entries, amendments, revisions have appropriate and acceptable supporting documentation/ correspondence.
  • To ensure the accuracy, timeliness, content and layout of correspondence is in line with department procedures and best practice.
  • To control the Prevent Settlement Order (‘PSO’) flag security ensuring removal is fully supported and appropriate.
  • To identify and report instances of non-compliance of various regulations and internal procedures and support corrective actions as appropriate.
  • To effectively communicate with colleagues internally and provide constructive and considered feedback where necessary.
  • To undertake other ad hoc duties which may be considered appropriate at the request of line management.

Our client wants their administrators to become well-respected industry professionals, so as part of the role they will be offering full study support for the Investment Operations Certificate. They will provide books, regular lecturing, mock exams, study leave and a community that can really support you through your studies. The IOC forms part of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and is recognised as a Professional Qualification in over 50 countries.

About you

This role is ideal for an experienced administrator with demonstrable experience of working in busy and fast paced environments, able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is crucial, the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing situations with good organisation and time management skills.

Candidates must have:

  • G.C.S.E Maths and English grade ‘C’ or above (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Resilient and flexible concerning change
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent customer/client service skills
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Previous experience within an administrative environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the investment industry and practices (desirable)
  • Previous experience within Financial Services or Banking industry (desirable)

This role is due to relocate to Leeds City Centre as part of a phased move beginning in October 2019 and happening throughout 2020. They are currently set to complete the relocation by the end of 2021.
