Our prestigious client is a global organisation, market leading for positions across an area of expertise largely under the umbrella of banking and finance.

They are looking for a Business Admin Administrator to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Based in their Leeds office and reporting to the Team Leader, the Business Admin Administrator will be part of a busy operational team, carrying out duties relating to investors. Day to day, the Business Admin team ensures that work that comes in to the Operations area of the business is correctly distributed to the relevant team.

You will receive, process, input and check customer information. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are key within this role. You will also have contact with customers, receiving and responding to queries via phone, email and letter.

The role

  • Accurately processing, inputting and checking customer information
  • Communicating via phone, email and letter with investors, key contacts and internal colleagues
  • Referring and looking into more complicated queries
  • Clearly communicating with customers and colleagues internally
  • Updating and maintaining the accuracy of records
  • Supporting our teams based offshore and those less experienced with more complicated queries
  • Making sure that all feedback is responded to, and that accounts/information is corrected appropriately
  • Making sure that all your own work is processed effectively and on time

Our client wants their administrators to become well-respected industry professionals, so as part of the role they will be offering full study support for the Investment Operations Certificate. They will provide books, regular lecturing, mock exams, study leave and a community that can really support you through your studies. The IOC forms part of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and is recognised as a Professional Qualification in over 50 countries.

About you

This role is ideal for a candidate with experience working in the banking/finance sector, with a good knowledge of the investment industry and practices.

Candidates must have:

  • C.S.E Maths and English grade ‘C’ or above, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent customer/client service skills
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience within a customer services environment (desired)
  • Knowledge of the investment industry and practices (desired)
  • Previous experience within Financial Services or Banking industry (desired)

This role is due to relocate to Leeds City Centre as part of a phased move beginning in October 2019 and happening throughout 2020. They are currently set to complete the relocation by the end of 2021.
