As September runs in October we’re excited to announce the addition of a new member to our team.

Louise Smith (pictured above) has been appointed as a Recruitment Consultant with us at THE Agency. She’ll be working alongside our Managing Director Kim Barnes-Evans FIRP in the day to day running of our temporary and permanent divisions.

Miss Smith who lives local to our offices here in Cleckheaton, brings with her a wealth of HR and Recruitment experience and her appointment could not have come at a better time as THE Agency continues to grow and restructure its services towards the new processes that are demanded by the Agency Workers Regulations (AWR).

Kim comments,

The AWR Regulations come into force later this week (1st October) and are deemed to one of the biggest pieces of employment law to affect both the recruitment industry and employers that hire temporary workers; Louise’s appointment gives us a stronger platform from which we’re able to cope with the demands of the Regulations and the expectations of our clients.

Utimately, this legislation is bound to result in more administrative work for both the employer and the agency alike, so we feel it’s important that we liaise fully with all our clients and temporary workers in order to create awareness and the implications of these Regulations. Louise’s appointment will help us achieve this as she’ll be instrumental in spreading the word and educating our clients.

Louise remarks;

I’m really excited about joining THE Agency and am looking forward to the new challenges that the AWR legislation will bring.

Outside of work, Louise’s time is spent with her baby son, Nelson who with an inspirational name like that, is bound to grow-up to be a leader amongst men. Just you watch!
