Job Details

Our client is a very successful IT Managed Services provider supporting clients with their IT infrastructure, IT Support, Website Development and Hosting Services. The primary purpose of the role is to provide Helpdesk IT support to various clients. This will be provided by telephone and email through the central Helpdesk Facility.

Principle areas of responsibility:
•Provision of Help Desk support
•Desktop, Server and Network support and administration – all/most Microsoft versions
•Internet connectivity support – ADSL and Leased Line
•All IT Hardware
•To provide multi-skilled technical support to ensure delivery of service to the agreed SLA.
•To provide a proactive service in the diagnosis and resolution of all incidents, problems, requests for service and change requests in line with the agreed SLA.
•To develop and build client relationships to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
Essential qualities:
•Previous Help Desk experience in a 1st/2nd Line role
•Excellent troubleshooting skills
•Experience in supporting many of the following services: W2K/2003/8 Server Admin, PC Configuration, Email systems, networking, Network Admin and software installation, MS Exchange, Windows XP/Vista/7.
•Experience of dealing with customers in a pressurised environment
•Experience within IT industry in a customer facing capacity in a technical role
•Experience in a multi-skilled technical environment providing IT Infrastructure support
Education & Qualifications:
•Educated to ‘A’ level or degree standard with a MCP, Windows 2003/8, Vista/Win7 or HNC in Computing or equivalent qualification or experience
•Must be able to demonstrate skills and experience in the above areas
